Look, we're not your grandfather's law firm. At QuantaVector, we actually get technology - because we've lived it. Whether you're scaling a startup or navigating a complex M&A deal, we speak your language and we've been in the trenches ourselves.
Based in Toronto's financial district, we've helped over 300 tech companies and corporate clients cut through the legal noise. No stuffy jargon, no outdated playbooks - just practical legal solutions that actually make sense for how business works today.
Board structures, compliance frameworks, and regulatory navigation
Patent strategy, licensing deals, and tech transfer agreements
Due diligence, deal structuring, and post-merger integration
PIPEDA compliance, cybersecurity protocols, breach response
Honestly, the legal industry needed a shake-up. Too many firms still operate like it's 1995. We built QuantaVector differently because we've been on both sides - as founders, as in-house counsel, and now as your outside legal team. We know what keeps you up at night.
We know you're moving at startup speed. Most urgent contracts? We'll get you a first draft within 24 hours. Standard stuff takes 2-3 days max. No more waiting weeks for basic legal docs.
Hate surprise legal bills? Yeah, us too. We offer flat-fee packages for most services and capped arrangements for bigger projects. You'll know what you're paying upfront - no billing shock at month-end.
Our partners have worked at Google, Amazon, and several startups that went public. We understand SaaS models, API licensing, cloud infrastructure agreements - not just theoretically, but from actual experience.
We've deliberately kept our focus tight. Instead of being mediocre at everything, we're exceptionally good at the legal work that matters most to tech companies and modern enterprises. Here's what we've been doing day-in, day-out for the past eight years.
Setting up board structures isn't sexy, but it's crucial. We help you build governance frameworks that actually work - not just check boxes. From director duties to shareholder agreements, we've seen what breaks companies and what helps them scale smoothly.
This is where we really shine. Half our team has engineering or CS backgrounds. We draft software licenses, negotiate API agreements, and handle patent prosecution. When we say we understand your tech stack, we're not bluffing.
We've closed deals from $500K acqui-hires to $200M+ acquisitions. The key? We move fast without cutting corners on due diligence. Our team knows which deal-breakers to flag early and which issues can be negotiated post-closing.
Every business runs on contracts, but most are poorly written or one-sided nightmares. We draft clear, enforceable agreements and negotiate terms that protect your interests without killing deals. Plus, we're actually good at explaining what all that legal language means.
Data breaches are expensive - legally and reputationally. We help you build compliant data handling practices from the ground up. PIPEDA, GDPR, CCPA - we navigate the alphabet soup of privacy laws so you don't have to become an expert yourself.
Bootstrapped or venture-backed, we've helped hundreds of startups get their legal foundations right from day one. Incorporation, cap tables, founder agreements, first hires, first customers - we know the playbook and we'll help you avoid the common mistakes.
Most legal problems don't fit neatly into one category. That's fine - we're not billing you by the checkbox. Schedule a free 30-minute consultation and we'll figure out together what makes sense for your situation.
Book Free ConsultationWe're gonna be honest - most law firms make their process sound way more complicated than it needs to be. Here's how it really works when you engage QuantaVector.
We hop on a call or video chat for 30 minutes. You tell us what's going on, we ask clarifying questions. No charge for this - we just wanna understand if we're a good fit.
Within 24 hours, you get a simple proposal. Scope of work, timeline, pricing. Flat fees when possible. If hourly, we cap it. No surprises.
Once you're in, we move. First drafts come quick. We use project management tools so you can see progress in real-time. No wondering what's happening.
After we close your matter, we don't disappear. Quick follow-up questions? Just email or text. Most clients end up on a monthly retainer because it's easier.
We could write our own testimonials, but that'd be weird. Here's what real clients told us (with their permission to share).
"We've worked with three different law firms before QuantaVector. The difference is night and day. They actually understand SaaS business models and didn't need us to explain basic tech concepts. Closed our Series A in record time."
"QuantaVector handled our acquisition of a competitor - $45M deal, tons of moving parts. Their team was responsive at all hours (we had some late nights), and they caught issues in due diligence that could've cost us millions down the road."
"As a cybersecurity startup, we needed lawyers who understood PIPEDA and data privacy regulations inside-out. QuantaVector not only built our compliance framework but explained everything in plain English. Worth every penny."
"Bootstrapped startup here - we couldn't afford BigLaw rates. QuantaVector offered flat-fee packages that fit our budget. They set up our corp structure, drafted our first customer contracts, and we're still working with them two years later."
"We needed specialized IP counsel for a patent portfolio acquisition. QuantaVector's team has the technical chops to evaluate the patents properly and negotiated terms that protected our interests. They're our go-to for all tech transactions now."
"What I appreciate most about QuantaVector is their commercial awareness. They're not just checking legal boxes - they understand business objectives and find solutions that work in the real world. That's rare in law firms."
We're not a faceless corporate machine. Here's the core team you'll actually work with. Between us, we've got over 75 years of combined legal experience and we've all worked outside traditional law firms at some point.

Jen founded QuantaVector after spending eight years at a big Bay Street firm where she realized most clients just wanted practical advice, not 50-page memos. She's closed over $3B in M&A transactions and still gets excited about every deal.
Before law school, Jen worked at Amazon in their corporate dev team, so she actually understands how tech companies operate. She's been called to the Ontario Bar since 2010 and holds an MBA from Rotman. Outside work, she's obsessed with competitive cycling and makes a mean espresso.
Alex isn't your typical IP lawyer - he's got a Computer Science degree from Waterloo and actually wrote code professionally before law school. He spent five years at Google's legal department working on licensing deals and patent strategy before joining QuantaVector.
When clients say they're building an API-first platform or implementing zero-trust security, Alex doesn't need a translator. He's prosecuted over 200 patent applications and negotiated licensing deals worth hundreds of millions. Called to the bar in 2012. Plays bass guitar in a terrible weekend band.

Rachel joined us from the Ontario Privacy Commissioner's office, where she worked for four years investigating data breaches and privacy complaints. She knows PIPEDA like the back of her hand because she literally helped interpret it for organizations across Canada.
She's built data privacy programs for companies from pre-revenue startups to publicly-traded enterprises. Rachel's also certified in information privacy (CIPP/C) and cybersecurity fundamentals. Called to the bar in 2014. In her spare time, she's training for her third marathon and volunteers with a digital rights organization.
Michael's been through the startup journey himself - he co-founded a FinTech company that got acquired in 2016. After that exit, he realized he enjoyed the legal side more than the operator side and went back to practicing law full-time.
He specializes in helping early-stage companies get their legal foundations right and negotiating contracts that don't kill deals. Michael's also a mentor at several Toronto accelerators. Called to the bar in 2009. He's an avid reader who somehow finishes like 80 books a year (audiobooks count, right?).
